Kottakkal Punarnavadi Kashayam is a very famous Ayurvedic medicine in liquid form. It is also known as?ÿ Punarnavashtaka kashaya, Punarnavashtak kwath. But there is a slight difference. Punarnavadi kashayam contains turmeric as an extra ingredient. But both have quite similar properties and therapeutic action.

1. The dose is 12 ƒ?? 24 ml, before food, at about 6 ƒ?? 7 am and 6 ƒ?? 7 pm or as directed by an Ayurvedic doctor.
2. It is usually advised to add an equal amount of water to the kashayam.
3. Cow urine?ÿis usually prescribed as a co-prescription along with this medicine.
4. It is also available in tablet form.

Virechana gritham, Loha bhasma, or powdered Katukarohini (Picrorrhiza kurroa).
