In the name of the eladi churnam 2 preparation are available in the market one is from the Astangahradayam reference (Eladi gana churna) containing 27 ingredients (but few of the ingredients are not available)it can be used externally as well as internally indicated for skin and related complaints. The second preparation Eladi churnam from the reference of Sahasrayogam indicated digestive system-related complaints. Most of the Eladi churna Kerala pharmacy preparation is based on Astangahradayam Eladi gana.

Kottakkal Eladi Churnam Indication:-

 Used in skin diseases, itching, rashes, boil, insect bite, improves skin complexion.

Method of use:-  For external application sufficient quantity of powder mixed with milk or oil and applied over the skin. For internally ½ to 1 teaspoon of powder along with buttermilk two or three times a day before or after food as directed by the physician.

Side effects:-

 No known side effects. Used under medical supervision.
